West Park Healthcare Centre delivers specialized rehabilitation and complex continuing care for individuals facing serious health challenges such as lung disease, stroke, amputation, and musculoskeletal conditions resulting from life-altering events or illnesses.
This major redevelopment introduced a new six-storey hospital facility that consolidates inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services, designed to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Ontario.
Key Technical Features
- Oversaw BIM model management to ensure alignment with healthcare design standards and regulatory compliance
- Developed workflows to track, validate, and report data compliance across all project disciplines
- Utilized dRofus for space programming, equipment requirements, and room data sheet validation
- Implemented Dynamo scripts to automate repetitive tasks, enhance model accuracy, and streamline QA/QC processes
- Facilitated real-time collaboration and coordination via BIM 360, including version control and issue tracking
- Conducted clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks, supporting early issue resolution and constructability reviews
- Managed user group meeting documentation and tracked design changes for compliance and traceability
- Linked model elements to corresponding data for enhanced coordination, transparency, and decision-making
